Former BYU Cougars wide receiver Jonah Trinnaman was scheduled to compete in the NFL Collegiate Bowl today. On Thursday, January 18, he was removed from the roster after contracting the flu.
It was not 100 percent clear from the tweet above whether Trinnaman was kept out of practice, or all bowl activities. Blue Cougar Football received confirmation from Trinnaman's mother that he was not playing in the game.

He will now have to wait until BYU's Pro Day to show off his skills for NFL scouts and other personnel.

Trinnaman was one of four BYU seniors participating in post-season All-Star games. Micah Hannemann and Tuni Kanuch already competed in the Spiral Tropical Bowl. Fred Warner is scheduled to compete in the Reese's Senior Bowl on January 27.
