Four former BYU Football players saw action in the NFL Playoffs Divisional Round over the weekend, and three advanced to the Conference Championships.

And then there were four.

The Divisional Round is in the books in the NFL Playoffs, and four former BYU Football players took part over the weekend.

Three of them are still alive, with their teams advancing to next Sunday’s Conference Championship games, while one played well in his team’s loss.

Here’s how all four performed:

Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)

The former Cougar quarterback did a little bit of everything once again. He rushed twice for eight yards, gaining four of them on a successful fake punt.

He also had one tackle on a kickoff return, and found himself open for a pass that likely would have been a touchdown if it hadn’t been underthrown.

Oh, and he threw a beautiful touchdown pass that was called back by a holding.

The Saints held on to beat the Eagles 20-14, advancing to host the Los Angeles Rams next Sunday at 1:05pm MT.

Daniel Sorensen (Kansas City Chiefs)

On Saturday the Chiefs manhandled Indianapolis 31-13, shutting down Andrew Luck in snowy conditions. Sorensen played a big part in the secondary’s strong game, finishing with three tackles (one solo).

Kansas City will host the AFC Championship game for the first time in franchise history, taking on New England on Sunday at 4:40pm MT.

Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

The Patriots jumped out to a 35-7 halftime lead and coasted to a 41-28 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, earning a date with Kansas City next weekend.

Van Noy did his part, finishing with four solo tackles and a pass deflection in the win.

Michael Davis (Los Angeles Chargers)

Davis was on the losing side of their matchup with the Patriots, although he finished with five tackles, three of them solo.

The former Cougar finished the season with exactly 50 tackles, along with eight pass deflections and two forced fumbles.

Former Cougars already eliminated:

Jamaal Williams (Green Bay Packers)

Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers)

Ezekiel Ansah (Detroit Lions)

John Denney (Miami Dolphins)

Bronson Kaufusi (New York Jets)

One Final Note:

The Patriots signed former Cougar Ryker Mathews to a contract on Friday after spending the season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
