After an exciting two weeks in a row for BYU Football, the Cougars find themselves receiving some votes in Top 25 Polls. BYU beat Tennessee in 2OTs last week, then prevailed over the 24th ranked (at the time) USC Trojans Saturday in another OT thriller.

The Week 4 AP Top 25 Poll found BYU getting 12 votes. Six teams still received more votes ahead of the Cougars in the poll that was released Sunday afternoon, but it’s awesome for Cougar fans that BYU is starting to get some attention. If the Cougs can pull off a win against no. 22 Washington on Saturday, we just might see them break into the poll for Week 5. Of course, that is a pretty big if.

Washington moved up a spot in the AP Poll after an impressive 52-20 victory over Hawaii on Saturday. The Huskies are 2-1 on the season with their only loss coming by 1 point to Cal (20-19).

The latest AP Poll has USC falling out after their OT loss at BYU. Another notable point for the Cougs — Utah moved up from no. 11 to no. 10. BYU’s only loss coming at the hands of a top 10 team is not a bad look. It’s probably also worth noting that BYU received 28 votes in the Coaches Poll. (Washington is no. 21 in that poll, Utah no. 11, and USC not ranked.)

Washington at BYU will be broadcast on either ABC or ESPN2, depending on where in the country you are. That game will kick off at 1:30 p.m. MT.
