PROVO, Utah – BYU sophomore kicker Jake Oldroyd has become one of the Cougars most reliable players so far this season.
The man that likes to be called “Ice Coldroyd,” not “Jake The Make,” has made 10 of his 13 field goal attempts this year and two of those misses were while battling an illness in BYU’s last game against Toledo.
Against Washington, Oldroyd made a 54-yard field goal that was one of the longest made field goals in program history.
Jake Oldroyd’s 54-yard field goal make is #BYU’s longest FG since Jared McLaughlin booted a 53-yarder against Air Force in 2006. #UWvsBYU #KSLsports

Along with kicking field goals, Oldroyd also punts for the BYU football team.
But kicking the football might not be his most impressive talent.
Since he was four years old, Oldroyd has been playing the piano and he’s become an excellent pianist.
Recently, Oldroyd released a video of him tickling the ivories and creating a medley to The Greatest Showman soundtrack.
Watch for yourself.
Step aside Hugh Jackman, Jake Oldroyd is now stealing the show.
“I loved getting to work on this project and I’m super excited to share it,” said Oldroyd.
From being the guy that nobody knew who he was when he stepped onto the field as a true freshman to attempt the game-winning field goal against Arizona in 2016 to now being the greatest showman on the team. What a ride for Jake Oldroyd and it has no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
