PROVO — Crisp. Clean. Fast.

BYU basketball hopes that describes the team's new offense with 12 new players, including four NCAA transfers, three returned missionary freshmen and a four-star recruit from Kanye West's Donda Academy.

Can Coastal Carolina transfer Rudi Williams, Arkansas' Jaxson Robinson and Detroit Mercy's Noah Waterman live up to the billing, in addition to the returning talents of players like Gideon George, Trevin Knell, Spencer Johnson, Fousseyni Traore and Atiki Ally Atiki?

But before the Cougars open the season with an exhibition game Nov. 2, or start two-a-day practices Monday live on BYUtv, they had to take care of some business: by refreshing the look.

Yes, BYU basketball has some new uniforms, and it's out with the "Brigham Young" script and in with a fresh, clean block "BYU" across the chest, as modeled by junior wing Knell.

The Woods Cross product joined the Cougar Beat podcast to break down the new uniforms, his new teammates — and spill the beans on the other new uniforms that will be coming to Cougar Nation soon.

"The team doesn't know what they look like; the coaches haven't showed us," Knell said on the podcast. "But the black ones, we're told, are the slickest and nicest ones that we're going to see. So we're all super pumped about those."

Williams revealed as much in an interview with BYUtv after the new uniforms' release, too.

"Just know, these ones are the worst out of the three new ones," the Coastal Carolina transfer said with a smile. "I'm excited about the royal, and I'm excited about the black.

"Honestly, I'm a big fan of them," Williams added. "They're simple but nice and clean. I feel like when we put them on in game, they're going to look way better than what they look like on the internet."
