BYU used to close winnable games.

31 games since 2005 have been decided by 7 points or fewer. BYU has won 20 of them (.645). Between 2006-2011, BYU was 19-3 (.864). They were 1-4 (.200) last year. BYU has forgotten how to win the close games.

BYU's record in close games:
2005: 1-3
2006: 1-2
2007: 4-0
2008: 3-0
2009: 3-0
2010: 3-1
2011: 4-1
2012: 1-4
