BYU put out a video about LBGT life on the campus. (Link:

Brought tears to my eyes. I am very curious to see the reaction of some of you on the board today. The title is "It Gets Better," but it is not about trying to "change" anyone. Just that things get easier.
I am straight, but one of my best friends at BYU came out several years ago. After spending a great deal of time with the youth while serving in a couple of bishoprics, I find myself less conservative and more loving when it comes to those who struggle with LBGT issues.
Like some of you above, I cringed when I saw the title of the post as I thought it was going to be a bunch of sophomoric bashing of the gay lifestyle. Glad to hear there are others out there that want to include anyone that wants to support the Cougs. Black, white, gay, straight, drinkers, porn lovers, Mormon hardliners, etc. Doesn't matter. Life is too short for us to judge others. I have too much of my own crap to deal with.
I have thought that we need more people like this in the church for years and it is very encouraging to see some of that here.
Go Cougs!
Mike
