I've tried watching Big Lebowski once. It was funny, but it was slow and not engaging. I didn't think there was anything terribly interesting artistically in it. I'll try watching it again sometime.
I love Fight Club. It's one of my favorites. Great movie indeed.
Silence of the Lambs. I've seen it. I think the performances are really great and the story was compelling, but the film really didn't do much for me. I have no desire to see it again. I especially don't think it was that interesting artistically.
I don't like Pulp Fiction or Quentin Tarantino. I don't see the appeal. I think he's a good writer, and his movies are interesting visually, but no more so than V for Vendetta or Inception. I think somehow the gratuitous violence in his movies makes him seem interesting or something, but I just think it's lazy film making to use ultra-graphic violence to shock people.
