You know why Oregon State could play BYU on Oct 13th last season? Because Stanford was playing at Notre Dame. Every year Stan/USC play at ND in Oct, and ND plays at Stan/USC the week of Thanksgiving. This leaves two holes in P12 schedules that could be easily filled by allowing BYU to play Utah to finish the season, and one other game against a P12 team in Oct.
