Turned the corner on my run this morning to find myself right in step with a
running group.

I said "hi" and asked them where they were headed. They said "straight". They asked how far I was going so I told them.

At that point my extreme social awkwardness kicked in and I didn't want them to feel like I was tagging along so I turned on the gas and left them. I ended up doing about a minute per mile faster than my normal pace 'cause I would have been so embarrassed if they had caught up. They actually were going about my normal pace.

Anyway. Turned into a great workout and on the plus side I still have no friends IRL.
