I still haven't heard a good explanation why taking the top 16
teams in the NBA is not a good idea.
Why are we stuck watching losing teams in the East while a winning team out West stays home? Why do the Clippers and Spurs play in the first round when they have two of the top 7 records in the NBA?

I have heard that the schedule isn't balanced so we can't do it. The schedule not being balanced favors the worse conference. So really based on schedule the East has played an easier schedule than the west and their teams are still worse!

Everyone keeps saying that the East/West are going to even out and maybe they will eventually. That being said, most of the young talent is in the West. The Lakers will probably pry away Kevin Love from the East and the West will continue to get better while the East goes the opposite direction.
