My condolences, dear brother. I wrote this poem for you and your son.
I hope it will bring some solace to you.
The love of a father’s heart cannot be contained
Though, he be imperfect and flawed, it lasts unstained.
The gifts given to him are now his soul’s pure light
And he guides and shelters until a cold earth night.
The love of a son’s heart is strong and true
Though, he is imperfect and flawed, it glows with a burnished hue
The ascending paths taken are lit for his sight
By a guide who shelters till a cold earth night.
The love of a God is Endless and Strong
Though he is perfect and flawless, it’s offered to all who do wrong.
The Hope of Eternity and Love is in his arms of might,
By a Savior who shelters and holds on a cold earth night.
