I met my future husband while working a help desk at the HBLL. He told me he was a BYU student (a true statement), and asked me out on several dates. I didn't begin to suspect the depth of his devotion to his prior alma mater until we attended our first devotional together-- as we were walking across the bridges among thousands of BYU students, he took off his jacket to reveal a shirt with a giant red "U" on it, and laughed when I strongly suggested he was indecent and needed to cover himself back up. But, as you can see, it wasn't a deal-breaker.
