Interesting experience with an Amazon dispute
My daughter used her own money to pay for a prom dress through an Amazon marketplace vendor that was based in China. The vendor offered standard sizes, but also custom sizes at no extra charge. My daughter requested custom, sent in all the required measurements, and paid for expedited shipping.

When the dress arrived, not only was it a standard size, but it was also huge on her. And, the color and material were not as shown either. So, we started a return request, and got a very interesting reply from the vendor. They said they lost money on the deal, so would not refund the shipping. They said, "just keep the dress, give to family or friends. They will love it."

It was very odd, and obviously English-as-a-second-language. My wife decided not to mess around, so she sent the email to Amazon, and they got their customer service involved. Reading the email, the guy said, "yeah, that's not right."

Apparently they brought the hammer down on this company, and I feel badly about it at this point. The itemization I got of the refund said they refunded the full price of the dress, the full shipping price, and an additional $78 for return shipping (wouldn't cost near that), and the company asked us NOT to ship the dress back. So, hooray for Amazon, but I didn't want to make money on the deal.
