1984, 1996; finished the season ranked in the AP top 25 a total of 17 times
Can Ute football even touch the consistency and volume of those end-of-the year top 25 rankings? The answer is NO.
Yes, their seasons in 2004 and 2008 seasons were outstanding, but we've got a couple years to match those, plus a long history of Top 25 finishes that is MUCH longer than theirs.
Oh, and we've got a National Championship and a Heisman in our trophy case.
Yeah, not much of a comparison.
Get back to us in 20 years, Utes, and we'll see what you've done at that point.
