If a car is local to me I would just take it to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. The way lemon squad works is that they send a mechanic out to wherever the car is to be inspected. That would be ideal for a car you were considering that is in a different city or state. The only things I would question are whether lemon squad is reputable, and whether they can do a sufficient inspection without a lift.
