Tom could be speaking vaguely by saying "not at the table"
That phrase can be read anywhere from no discussions at all to BYU not literally in the B12 board meetings. Tom might be inferring the latter to throw people off. I know I would.
Take statements of what is "not" happening with a grain of salt, and take more direction from what BYU "is" doing. Quite a bit to be understood on that side.
