and quote media on whether BYU will be one of the teams chosen by the Big 12. It was only about 24 hours ago that these same media were saying that there was 0% chance that the Big 12 was expanding. It was these same media that said the Big 12 was going to table the discussion for years.

Are we going to pretend that these media members now have sources in the know when they clearly didn't just 24 hours ago? Honestly I am more apt to listen to West Virginia Dude than PK. Dennis Dobbs has been writing for months that nothing is going to happen. Now he has sources?

Certainly it is fun to speculate and to each their own, but I don't trust any of these media sources as far as I can throw them in regards to Big 12 expansion.
