I'll be taking my family to San Diego in a few weeks. Because of timing with lodging there and when we want to leave, I'm thinking of traveling the 6 hours to Vegas, spending the night, then finishing the trip to SD the next day. I'd rather not spend a lot since it's just a quick overnight stay. There will be 7 of us, so I'll likely need two rooms (with twin Queens).

I'm checking google maps and Expedia, but I imagine a lot of you have had this situation before, and could probably make good recommendations.
