To the Administration, coaches and players. Accept that Booing indicates a general displeasure with the way things are going, but also realize that Booing indicates that people are still passionate about the team, the coaches, the players and the outcome. Accept an occasional boo as a view from a passionate few, realize that they care, but don't let it under your skin. Get really concerned if you see apathy or indifference.
To the fans: Booing is unseemly. Be supportive of the team. If a boo or two slips out, try to keep it from being a habit. We understand that you care deeply about the team.
To the Church leaders: Keep teaching everyone to love, lift and build another. If no one cares about BYU, be deeply, deeply worried.
As I mentioned on another thread, if you want to see what is worse than booing. See what apathy or indifference brings. This is TCU's stadium. A top 25 team with a 3-0 record that people generally dont care about. In an age where everything is more digital and virtual, this is the real enemy. This is the real secular headwind.
Booing means people still care. If it ever gets to the point that LES stands are 60% full, we will all wish they were full of people passionate enough to boo.
