Taysom has done great things for BYU and there is nothing more he needs to prove. He's not NFL bound which is fine. He's going to be highly successful in whatever he does.
Even if Tanner stinks as much as some people think and their argument is that BYU wouldn't make a bowl game with Tanner and they would with Taysom, doesn't that mean that Tanner needs all the experience he can get so that he doesn't have a full year away from real game experience come LSU in 2017?
Does starting Tanner cause problems in the locker room? I just can't see it. Tanner's attitude and personality is just too good.
Tanner's not redshirting, so that can't be a good reason.
There's no NY6 game to chase, no conference race to keep an eye on, no state championship to win.
I know. Ty and Kalani must have "good reasons" to keep things the way they are, but I just don't see it.
Didn't a BYU QB somewhat recently give up his starting spot for someone else because they thought it was best for the team in the long run? Or was it a player at a different position?
