Was resistant to it early on. It was even before they expanded but it seemed to corporate for my Polynesian restaurant tastes and the focus on steak through me off (I'm a pig and katsu guy).
But they are definitely the best around. The rice is always on point. The pig is better than anyone else's. The katsu is consistent (some places it feels like maybe they use their old chicken for their katsu). And the steak has grown on me.
