I'm early for appointments (medical, etc) where they are waiting specifically for me. And if I'm late, it may throw off the schedule of the person waiting (doctor, bishop, whoever). I'm more of the middle choice when it's a larger gathering. Except for sporting events where I'm irritated if I miss the national anthem. It's not really the national anthem per se, that's just my cut off point where I feel that I missed part of the event.
