Whether Tanner should have played becomes almost completely irrelevant. We
should be able to beat Cincinnati and Utah State with either (assuming a healthy Jamaal). And then we ought to be able to comfortably beat UMass and SUU with either even without a healthy Jamaal.
It's three of the last four losses that have me wondering "what if?" The thing is we won't ever be able to know. So, unless we're losing at Cincinnati or against Utah State in the second half, I probably won't put much energy into thinking about it.
