Steve Young's biography
Hello, wife of fellow CB member here.

Today I started reading Steve Young's bio. My intention was to read just the first chapter as a joke to mess with my husband when he came home from work as if I were a closet Steve Young fan all this time. Problem was, after I read the first chapter, I. Couldn't. Put. It. Down.

I honestly don't know what is so good about it; I guess it's just a window into this whole realm of football that I've never understood before. It's fascinating. And even though SY's narrative makes him seem borderline cocky at times (although it feels sacrilegious to say anything negative about him here), all of a sudden he is my new idol. I want to be him...or the female equivalent of him.

But here's the real problem: you can't read a success story like that and not wish it were you...to experience the rush and pride of being a successful athlete. I was never athletic enough to become anything, but truthfully is there any hope for my kids? What are the chances my kid could play sports in college (or possibly beyond)?
