...program (Matt Reynolds). He went from being a Freshman AA and as a sophomore being projected as a 1st round NFL pick to a middle round pick as a junior and then not even getting drafted and a practice squad player for a brief stint. He came in with a lot of expectations and at the time was BYU's highest ranking recruit ever (or pretty close).
Koroma has been steady on the field but due to lack of size does seem to get pushed around at times. Shoaf came off the bench and was surprisingly effective despite just returning from a mission and being a little lacking in heft. He seems to move his feet fairly well. I don't know if Koroma has hit his ceiling due to lack of size but he's been a good anchor. For Shoaf he's only going to get better I think as he fills out and gets time in the system.
This will be a mature group next season with the best combination of depth, experience and ability that we've had maybe since the Max Hall era when our OL was filled with Gary Crowton recruited players. I think we can all be grateful to Coach 2J for this parting gift he left us. It's a pretty good pipeline he put together in a short time.
