Stomping your feet, holding your breath, & counting to 10 doesn't make you right
I also find it a bit ironic that your inability to effectively defend or substantiate your positions coupled with your being a product of the U of U might actually be the best argument you have made in defense of what you are saying.

The bottom line is that both schools have their strengths and both may be the right school for various students depending on program and discipline. Undergrad weighs in favor of BYU and grad weighs in favor of Utah.

You also can't keep moving the goal posts or dismissing data and be taken seriously. You start down the path of academic comparison and wend your way to company creations... and not just any company, it has to be a Unicorn to count. Most of the companies I listed are growing, employing, and making meaningful products. Yet you focus on some gimmicks that got a headline or two in the past few years with your lice machine reference. I hope you never have an illness or injury that puts you in a position to rely on many of the innovations those companies sell but if you do at least you will have the tech to help you heal.

You also dismiss data out of hand. That's fine, all data has weakness that can be found and exploited. However, next time you want to tear down a data set don't do so by pointing somebody to LinkedIn to get better knowledge. LinkedIn is a strong tool. It is also the Facebook for the business world and has its own weaknesses and biases. Ultimately everyone there is making a sales pitch.

To answer your question, no I do not have an equity stake in any of those firms and will not benefit as they grow. I chose a different career path which did not include entrepreneurship but has at least been able to provide well enough for my needs and the needs of my family. I have never felt held back by a University of Utah degree and have used it to enter a graduate school I enjoyed immensely and has helped me climb the corporate ladder.

Enjoy your evening and stay safe when you swim through your vault of money provided by the unicorn you founded.
