Back in those days that seemed to be the magic number for the post season. it seems that he won four conference championships during the span of 8 years. Won about 65% of games. It was slow basketball. The excuse we used was that he told a recruit that the whole church would be let down if he didn't sign with BYU.

It was a slow style of basketball. Not fun to watch, but we won enough. He started the church recruit season 1 and 6 and he was let go. Finished the season with more than 20 loses, most of them the interim coaches. It was worth the pain in my book.
