In the age of twitter and message boards, it's
a miracle to me that players still sometimes leave a university with fond feelings about the school and it's fans.

This isn't a shot at BYU fans at all. Nor do I think we are even necessarily bad at it. It's an issue everywhere (see the video below). And I also fully understand that it's impossible to fix because fans are going to be fans and idiots are going to idiot, but it's good to remember that if you tweet or post something nasty or mean about a player, there's usually a pretty good chance that a player or a players family will see it.

Fans of every school hate losing legacy kids, but the more tweets (sometimes with the player tagged) about how bad someone sucks, the more I understand why it happens.
