Of the 14 St Mary's and Gonzaga players that got 10+ minutes of playing time in their game last week, five were underclassmen. Two of the ten starters were underclassmen.
In contrast, six of the seven BYU players that logged 10+ minutes against St Mary's the week prior were underclassmen.
Talk about talent and potential and recruiting rankings and high school banners all you want -- but the fact of the matter is that unless you are a program consistently getting legit one-and-done NBA talent, relying on a rotation that consists of over 85% underclassmen would seem to suggest things could get a little bumpy.
