I am not saying that Rose should be fired. TBH I have not watched enough of this team over the past few years to feel compelled one way or the other. It's pretty obvious through local media and fans that his seat is getting a little warm though. The whole "Rose is basically just another Bronco" take has been particularly provocative.

But just for kicks, if there was a vacancy to be filled for BYU BB HC, is there a coach out there or former player that could potentially re-energize the program similar to Kalani on the FB side? I don't know if the BYU basketball tree runs as deep as it does under LaVell, so perhaps its not an easy comparison. My first guess would be maybe Danny Ainge, but he has too good of a gig in the NBA and I don't know how motivated he would be do get into college coaching. That's kind of like how we all wished Andy Reid would have left the Chiefs to come coach BYU a year ago.
