I hate debating who the MVP should be when the playoffs haven't even started yet. Yes, I know it is a season award---but it's kind of a dumb award. I think that playoffs should be taken into account.

We all know who the best player in the world is. Debating whether it should be Durant, Harden, or Westbrook just seems silly. I don't mind All-NBA awards for regular season success...but let's hold out on MVP. I am even fine with the MVP being on a team that isn't the best in the league as long as he plays like an MVP.

I think in general I just don't like season awards because the game changes so much in the post season---and we find out who the best players REALLY are.
