I had a friend who affectionately referred to me as the "king of awkward". I didn't believe her before but I am starting to understand.
At my apartment complex, we have a community hot tub. After a long day, I sometimes like to have a soak.
The other day after work, I decided I wanted to go to the hot tub. In preparation, I go to my room and strip down to the buff and go to my dresser to get my suit. As I pulled on the drawer I realized it was stuck. I tried To troubleshoot to see if there was anything jammed and is seemed there wasn't. At that point I decided to give it a good tug to get it out. I pull pretty good and the dresser shakes but that drawer wasn't going anywhere. At that point I decided to pull a bit harder and give it some gusto. Finally the drawer come loose and the rails attached to the drawer come out along with the drawer falling and nailing my foot.
All of the sudden the dresser literally falls over to the side and all of my books slide off. My coin container slides off and shatters. At this point I just am staring in amazement, butt naked at a completely collapsed dresser and the mess.
My roommate, a slightly awkward computer scientist by profession, hears the commotion and came to check on me. He opened the door to my room and saw My collapsed dresser, shattered glass jar, and coins and books everywhere and my completely bare butt. I turned my head around and made some awkward eye contact. He smiles, and turns around and leaves without saying a word.
I cracked up. It has been followed by a week of slightly awkward roommate interactions. Ha
