I'm comparing options - not sure why you guys want to nitpick this. A kid starts college... they have to decide on
a major. They see the best teachers are making $65k after a master's degree and 28 years of experience. They see that lawyers in big cities are making 10x that after 28 years. It plays into their calculus.

Too often they are choosing something other than el ed. The sacrifice/opportunity cost is too great.

We aren't getting enough good students to enroll in el ed anymore. Good students have too many better options.
