Guys lock their arms, and the wuss is the one who pulls away.
Kind of a prove your manly thing, I guess. And in the heat of battle (or basketball), with a couple hot-heads, both will lock arms rather than let go.
Childish, but we all do it at times in our lives, I'm sure.
