My oldest two played the saxophone and the trumpet. The oldest branched out to more than one saxophone, taught himself to play guitar and a little bit of the flute. The third picked the violin to start. It has been a good experience for him. He also played/plays the bass and he plays the bass guitar in jazz band. Bass guitar is his real love.
