Let's say that Gonzaga wins the tournament. Could that help the WCC project to a new level? The Big East teams for the most part are small religious schools. I know they are on the East Coast and in big media markets, but the West Coast is nothing to sneeze at.

When the Big East got going it was really four schools that made it big - Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John's and Villanova. UConn, Pitt and others came later.

If the WCC could get one or two more schools step up, we may become the Big East of the West Coast. Another thought could be to form some kind of alliance or partnership with the Big East. Maybe a mega conference? Crazy idea of the day.
