We've considered the costs of flying versus driving this year, and we've settled on driving. 24 hours of driving to get there (heading to AZ/UT from the midwest). We plan on making three days out of it, stopping in KC and Denver. My wife doesn't want to drive at night. If you have some valid reasons for driving at night that might convince her, that may be helpful.

So...how do you keep them occupied? We have a van with a DVD player system. We plan on having books and toys and food as well.
