Lots of moving parts and people to depend on.
Unfortunately if one is off, it delays the whole process.
Wrong instrument set, wrong tubes, anesthesia machine issue, staff delayed for any of a hundred reasons.
Nobody wants to start off that way cause it delays the rest of the day.
