Stillman White also supports my point. He played 3 minutes per game. He wasn't used to replace starters who were
slacking because Roy knew he couldn't win with him. Imagine 7 kids worse than Stillman White sitting on the bench and try to picture replacing your starters with them.
That's all I'm saying. It's hard to bench a talented kid who won't play the right way when you know you have no chance with the other guys.
Also, the real threat to any college kid is being supplanted as the starter. Not just being benched for a few minutes. There is a zero percent chance of that happening at BYU and the starters all know it. That takes away a lot of the leverage Rose should have.
