Got a sourdough bread starter from a church member's co-worker.
This starter is kind of soupie, looks more like a soup than a dough starter, which is a bit of a disappointment since it won't work with a waffle recipe I have.

But it takes crazy long to make the bread.

Step one. Feed the starter, wait 8-12 hours.
Step 2 make the dough, wait another 8-12 hours.
Step 3. Make the loafs, again wait 8-12 hours.
Step 4. bake wait 8-12 hours before you eat (kidding this time.)

But it's totally worth the wait.
