My wife has bought them 3 consecutive years at least because it's a great deal, and a pass for each member of the family at home. This year, that's 7. Well, we just got 4 vouchers. My wife paid with PayPal, so there is a record of all transactions (7 individual transactions was how it had to be processed). We got all the invoice numbers, proof that it was paid, and Groupon told us we must have screwed up. My wife talked to 6 different reps on chat at Groupon, and 6 times they closed out the chat.
So, she escalated to PayPal, and entered a dispute. They forced a refund from Groupon on ONE of the missing 3 passes. But we didn't want a refund, we wanted the passes at the price we properly purchased (to buy now would be 3 times as much). She submitted two more disputes, and so now all our money has been refunded for the missing passes.
My wife finally got on the phone with Groupon, and and once again they told us we must have screwed up--we must have used different accounts, because it couldn't have been their mistake. But, we have the invoices in our single PayPal account proving they are wrong. Paypal confirmed each invoice was properly paid to Groupon.
Well, we got our money back, and the best they did for us is allow us to buy another Groupon that is not nearly as good of a deal. So, better than nothing, but not what we paid for. And still at the end they made my wife feel like they were doing us a favor with our screw up.
