The difference between this list and Mandel's college football tier hierarchy version is I'm applying 66 teams, but not just from Power 5 conferences but the top 66 overall. Since college basketball is all-inclusive and P5 is more a college football term, I thought top 66 regardless of conference affiliation is appropriate. I did break it down to the same amount of teams per category as Mandel's college football version i.e. Kings (13), barons (11), knights (27), and peasants (15). I will admit I barely have BYU in the Knight category. I figured the 12th or 13th winningest team in college basketball should amount to something. Nevertheless, you be the judge if their is a peasant that is more deserving than BYU to be a knight. Not all of these are in any particular order and it is purely subjective. I'm more passionate about college basketball as a whole than college football, so I feel pretty confident about this list and I believe you will agree where most teams are slotted.
