to get an air hockey table for our basement. I like air hockey, but I think I would prefer ping pong even more. We would also like a table that can potentially be covered with a traditional table top to play board games. So here are my questions...

Does anyone here have one of those multi-game tables that convert? I'm just wondering how well these tables work, or if it is better to get one dedicated game table.

I'm also wondering if this table will get used frequently in the long term? When I was younger, my dad got a really nice pool table. We played with it for maybe a couple of months before it was turned into a table for storage and never played with. My kids say they want a game table, but I have a feeling that they might just get bored with it after a short period of time.
