I am on a swarm call list. People google it and find me.
I haven't made any money off of this and it will be a while before I get to cash break even...probably years. It is definitely a hobby. Catching and then selling swarms is 1000% easier to make money than making honey. Significantly less work too. If I had 40-50 colonies than the economies of scale for honey might be a little bit easier - still easier to make bees than make honey (you can make bees also by splitting your colonies. It takes only a few minutes.

Google "swarms in ________(whatever state you are in)". Too many bees get sprayed dead due to an irrational fear of bees (hornets and wasps aggressively sting).

Every time we go to catch a swarm, people are freaking out. When they watch me walk up to within a couple of feet, sticking my face right near it, then I explain that they aren't aggressive, at least they aren't ignorant any more even if they are afraid.
