The family and I were walking into Costco and my 6 y.o. wanted to show the lady at the entrance our pass. She was caught up trying to get the attention of some other woman fumbling with the carts. My son stood in front of her with our pass outstretched, waiting patiently for her to acknowledge him and permit entrance. She continued to ignore him, while people were streaming into the store, haphazardly flashing their pass.
Finally my son could stand it no more. On his tiptoes he stretched and shoved the card 1 inch from the lady's eyeballs. She yelled "ok, I got it!"
He strutted triumphantly into the store, no longer a child, but a man.
