Bought a new house with a fenced in back yard. Have about 1800 square feet of fence I need to stain. Went to Home depot and the girl pointed me at Thompsons Watersealer. Was also going to just use a cheap 10 dollar pump sprayer. Don't want to completely waste my time and money if this is just a bad idea. Stain is so much more expensive, but if the Watersealer is crap, then its worth it to spend the extra money. Just want the fence to be able to last as long as possible and stay in good condition.

Any tips or recommendations?
