Let's face it, no one appreciates BYU enough to do them, so rather than sit around and feel sorry, BYUTV needs to start doing them.
They have kind of started with the Media Day Specials, but those are too much roundtable and not enough research and documentary. We have a great legacy, but no one is telling the story. Other than the LaVell Edwards: The Spirit of Cougar Football that they recently showed, there isn't another great BYU sports documentary, except maybe Amazing (BYU Basketball/Jimmer senior season).
My dad owned the BYU QB Factory II, but it is more story telling, chronology, not enough research and perspective on the lasting imprint on CFB as a whole.
No one realizes how influential a guy like Kresimir Cosic was because there is no documentary of it.
No one realizes, spearheaded by BYU, the mtn beat the Big Ten Network to being the first college conference cable network.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg. We could go on and on.
