The NFL connection will soon improve at BYU
and become less or of no advantage for Utah. That will likely give BYU an edge in head to head recruiting. Utah will continue to have an advantage among instate and out of state athletes who are not LDS.
Utah will also continue to have the edge
when academics are more of a concern.
It would be remarkable if BYU can get back to even with Utah or even possibly edge ahead in overall recruiting with our independent status.
