If it's a premium version but they also release normal versions, no big deal
An iPhone Pro line and a normal iPhone line would match what they do with laptops and desktops.
Making the pro model expensive allows them to do some cool things that they wouldn't otherwise be able to do at massive scale with the supply chain constraints.
Then the normal models are for the masses. Win win.
